Support from the Daylesford Foundation has been transformative. Without it, I likely wouldn’t have been able to study full-time.

Why teaching
“Teaching became my path after inspiring VCE teachers encouraged me when I was close to dropping out. I’m enjoying strong relationships with my tutors and growing steadily through challenging placements.”
The past year
“The past year has gone well academically, and I have been building confidence in the classroom. I’m proud of the connections I’ve made with students. Balancing study, work and life hasn’t been easy, but I remain on track to finish in 2027.”
What the scholarship made possible
“Coming from a single-parent household, the funding allowed me to move to the city, study in person, reduce stress, and give both me and my mum peace of mind.”
In the classroom
“I am thoughtful about technology in the classroom, limiting device use and discouraging AI shortcuts, while still using AI for lesson planning.”
Looking ahead
“I hope to make a meaningful impact as a teacher, support students who need stability, and create the kind of encouragement I once received.”
To our donors
“I’d tell donors their support has made a profound, practical difference in my life and future.”
